This blog is dedicated to language, technology and the desire to connect. For people who work in language and technology, some of most fun and interesting discoveries never seem to make it into papers, projects or the press. Sometimes these discoveries are tangential to a given research project, outside of our typical area of focus or somehow not relevant to current press interests. More often, these discoveries are clearly no advancement to science, technology or our collective knowledge of the world. A blog is an optimal place to shared such thoughts.

The name ‘jungle light speed’ is simply a metaphor for when our own imaginations about science and technology exceeds the universe we observe, and how easy it is to share these impossibilities with each other.
